Our Literary Cafe’ gatherings take place every month, check our website or our FB page for the updates.

During the months of May, June, July and September the Literary Cafe’ will take place in the Roundy Bar (upstairs), Cork.

On Thursday the 6th of December 2012 Irlanda Italiana celebrated its first year of activities!

The event took place at the Scala Conference Centre (right in front of the Blackrock Castle, Castle Road, Cork city). The event was a great occasion to celebrate our Association with a buffet sponsored by our promoters, celebrating Italy’s best food tradition, along with the presentation of the updated Constitution of our Association and the program of the cultural activities we are planning for 2013.

Dr Concetto La Malfa, a well-known Italian Journalist, Editor of ITALIA STAMPA, the first and only printed Italian Periodical in Ireland since 1983, will briefly talk on “THE ITALIANS IN IRELAND” and will show his documentary on a famous “Italian Trio (Bianconi, Nannetti and Marconi) in the history of Ireland”.

L’Ambasciata d’Italia in Irlanda e l’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Dublino danno il benvenuto all’Associazione Culturale Irlanda Italiana.

La cerimonia avra’ luogo il giorno 15 Giugno 2012 e sara’ l’occasione per presentare alle Istituzioni locali i risultati finora ottenuti dall’Associazione nonche’ offrira’ la possibilita’ di coinvolgere la comunita’ italiana di Dublino allo sviluppo del programma degli eventi di Irlanda Italiana.

Evento serale: ore 18:00 presso il pub The Church (Jervis Street, Dublin 1)

Irlanda Italiana, Associazione Culturale senza scopo di lucro, e’ stata fondata a Cork ad Ottobre 2011 da un gruppo di amici Italiani che vivono in Irlanda, volenterosi di condividere con la comunita’ irlandese ed italiana alcune tra le piu’ significative tradizioni culturali che l’Italia offre.

Irlanda Italiana Cultural Association (IICA) si propone come obiettivo di sostenere e promuovere i moltpelici aspetti della cultura italiana, sia attraverso i mezzi di informazione (come il sito www.irlandaitaliana.com), sia tramite collaborazioni con le istituzioni culturali italiane ed irlandesi, realizzando eventi ed incontri con il prezioso supporto dei propri soci promotori.

L’evento inaugurale di Irlanda Italiana ha avuto luogo il 15 Dicembre 2011 presso l’Aula Magna dell’Universita’ di Cork, in collaborazione con il Dipartimento di Lingua, Letteratura e Cultura Italiana. Aperta a tutti coloro desiderosi di approfondire la propria conoscenza della “Tradizione Eno-gastronomica Italiana”, tale evento ha offerto la possibilita’ di apprendere le straordinarie e gustose differenze che ciascuna delle 20 regioni italiane propongono nella loro cultura culinaria.

Il 18 Febbraio 2012 si e’ tenuto il secondo evento promosso da Irlanda Italiana, presso il Triskel Arts Centre di Cork. In tale occasione, si e’ celebrato “Il Carnevale Italiano”, dando modo di trascorrere un piacevole pomeriggio di festa alle numerose famiglie che vi hanno preso parte.

Irlanda Italiana e’ poi orgogliosa di aver sfilato alla Parata di San Patrizio a Cork il 17 Marzo 2012. Inoltre, sempre in collaborazione con il Triskel Arts Centre, ha organizzato il 31 Marzo 2012 il primo degli eventi cinematografici, “L’Italia al cinema”, col fine di promuovere la cultura italiana anche attraverso la “settima arte”.

Nel corso del 2012 Irlanda Italiana promuovera’ numerosi eventi culturali, in collaborazione con partners italiani ed irlandesi. A tutte le persone interessate ad approfondire la conoscenza dei vari aspetti della cultura italiana, verra’ data la possibilita’ di partecipare a manifestazioni legate alla musica, al teatro, al cinema, alla letteratura, all’arte, alla fotografia, alla gastronomia, etc.

For the first time an Italian Cultural Association participates to the St Patrick’s Parade in Cork. Irlanda Italiana is very pround to be part of it! The Parade will start at 1pm on Saturday March 17th from South Mall to the end of St Patrick’s St.

Irlanda Italiana will have the honor to close the Parade, we are the last group. Come and support us!
